Megalopolis#Rome
After Mexico City, Teheran and Neaples, Instabili Vaganti theatre company will develop a new step of Megalopolis International Project in Rome through a workshop based on the development of mass performative actions able to invade the urban spaces of Largo Spartaco. The workshop will be an occasion not only for working on the project but also an opportunity to share a “Global Action” (“Acción Global”), a performing action, a political act aiming to join the numerous performances of artists, students and citizens happening all over the world, in order to react to the forced disappearence of the 43 Mexican students in Ayotzinapa. An important event that has marked the born of a new international protest that has reacted to the dramatic event, attracting the world’s attention on the serious conditions afflicting Mexico, where the relation between governament and narcos has caused in 10 years more than 30000 “desparecidos”.
The 43 participants will be introduced to the themes of the project and will develop, a series of choral physical actions that will lead to the creation of an urban performance Megalopolis#Roma. The performance will be staged on 8th October within the festival Attraversamenti multipli in Largo Spartaco.
The workshop will last 3 days (4 hours per day). The participants will work with: Anna Dora Dorno (director and actress) and Nicola Pianzola (actor) of Instabili Vaganti, Nigar Hasib (actress and singer) and Shamal Amin (director and performer) of Lalish Teatre Labor.
